The Teacher of Promise Award is presented to a new mathematics teacher in Georgia who meets the following criteria:

• has no more than 3 years experience at the time of the nomination, and
• demonstrates qualities of excellence in the teaching of mathematics.

NOTE: This new teacher may or may not be a member of GCTM. You must be a member of GCTM to nominate anyone. To nominate a teacher for this award, do the following:

• send in a letter nominating the person, explaining why you think he/she is deserving of this award and how he/she meets the criteria above, and
• and send in the Teacher of Promise Nomination Form.
